Since the entire forum section is dedicated to fan creations, we were thinking each artist would be doing their own thread to showcase stuff, actually, but if you guys have better ideas on how to handle it, we're open to suggestions!
You're right. I guess I was getting a little too excited, but I would like for there to be a thread with little conversation, and a giant wall of good fan art. Maybe this isn't the way...
I'm not sure what the best method would be personally, but I think I'd like a master post because it'll be easier for me to post drawings instead of giving it it's own thread. However if I were to draw something big I'd definitely go with my own thread to showcase it. Sooooo I guess I vote for both.
We could always have one thread for art where the posters are the artists themselves and another thread for where people post cool art they find with the artist and link to the artist in the post. There's a million and a half ways to go about this depending on what kind of fan creation is the focus.
That'd work. You could make this a sort of fan-art index/plug/discussion(?) thread, and a place where artists can come in if they just want to drop one or two pieces, while more prolific sorts can have their own spaces. Plus, a consolidated thread would (in theory) have more watchers, so more general announcements can reach further.

If we want just a 'wall 'o images', we can probably work up something automated around RSS, a scraper, and a little server somewhere in the cloud. It would save the hassle of having to post in two places, too.
Can someone collect the art that's been submitted on twitter and tumblr?
Also, is the rule in this forum thread that you have to ask permission from the artist first?

As an artist myself, please take the time to ask the artist if you want to share their work, alongside credit and source of course.
Most people want to know where their work is going, some may even want to join the forum themselves too.

Anyhow, the way the art subforum works on Skullheart (Skullgirls forums) is that each artist has his own art thread where he can share new works whenever he finishes them.
There is however also one megathread for "I found this cool piece(s) of fanart from an artist that isn't here, check it out and if you like it, why not check out more from said artist in this link to his gallery that I am also providing".
It worked for a couple years now so I reckon it's a functional system.
Here's one of the best ones I've found. I love how well Tianhuo turned out in it!
