Never did a Nuzlocke myself. I'm not THAT into Pokemon, and I don't generally like Permadeath type games.
Last one I played, Alpha Sapphire....I honestly don't really remember what my team was. Milotic was one of my standouts though (and rather cute besides <3) and she's specced out to be a recovery tank. I'll boot up the game just for this thread! I know I spent a fair bit of time doing the training with all my mains, so I went at least that far. Oh, and I hunted for the right nature and IVs for some of my party as well as ability. That was a bit of a pain.

I also used a Sharpedo at one point, as well as Serpior (the one with the Contrary ability), Graveler (Geodude was my fave Rock/Ground type mainstay for generations. I really liked Magnitude and his ability to tank most physical attacks. From around beginning to middle of the game it's amusing to watch even higher level pokemon futilely try to scratch him with normal or other less effective physical attacks. He's level 67 here BTW. Sceptile (my starter) was another one that I kept using for a while. Kadabra was my old mainstay special attack psychic pokemon of choice. Replaced with Gardevoir, naturally. Seeing as I would need to trade him to evolve him, Gardevoir made more sense. Doesn't hurt that I find her more aesthetically pleasing. I used a Pelipper for a while. I used the Dress Up Pikachu for a while too.
I remember spending a lot of time getting the pre evolved forms of Ninetails and Garchomp so I could get the right nature, ability, and decent IVs. I might have given up on getting the right combination for one or more of them since it's just a pain and I'm not THAT dedicated. I have a bunch of Gibles, Feebas, and Vulpixes in storage for that hunt. I like the combo of Garchomp's Rocky Helmet and Rough skin. Takes off a decent amount of HP whenever an enemy used a physical attack on it. Ninetails' combination of Drought and Charcoal plus her nice fire moves made her really useful overall I think. She could generally survive a fight with a water type of similar level because it powers down water moves and Hex was alright on its own, but combined with Will o Wisp inflicting burn (or if the opponent already had a status condition) it does a fair bit of damage.
Oh, I have a Japanese Gardevoir stored. I'm guessing there was a reason I didn't use her, low IVs maybe?
