Matchmaking is going to be the game's saving grace if done well, and I really hope it takes off with the casual community too. Anyone else going to try it out once it releases? So, anybody interested in the upcoming matchmaking?
INVERTIGOOOOOOO.Mains: Medic/Soldier/Scout, in that order.
Favorite weapon: the vaccinator, which no one understands how to really use.

How do you get into competetive? Or is it too dead to even bother?INVERTIGOOOOOOO.
Hi.
In other news, I'm captain of a UGC NA HL Silver team! That's a lot of acronyms! Basically, I play competitive a lot.
Favorite classes are Slodier (exploder w/ rocket) and Demonstrations Black (exploder w/o rocket).
Least favorite class is Sniper.
Best map is Borneo.
Worst map is 2fort.
I've got 3,200 hours in the game, and I might just drop it all once TFH comes out. Ungulate hype!
It's not dead at all. In NA we have UGC (United Gaming Clans) which run both 6v6 and Highlander leagues for free, and ESEA which is a competitive 6v6 league that you pay to play in. EU has UGC, ESEA, as well as ETF2L for Highlander. I'll leave a link to UGC here, as it is probably the best place to start, unless you live in EU, in which case you can try your luck with ETF2L. As for how you get involved, there are plenty of resources. I'll leave a link here for the "getting started" page on the comp.tf wiki, which has an aggregation of useful links and information. And anyone who reads this post and is interested in getting started in competitive, and would like someone to ask questions, you can add me on steam, and I'll help as I can.How do you get into competetive? Or is it too dead to even bother?
I've personally played a few seasons of UGC Highlander and I'd absolutely recommend trying it out to anyone interested. It might be a bit of a time investment depending on the group, but playing together and growing as a team has made some of the most fun moments I've had with video games. If you have even a bit of hesitation, just take the plunge and find yourself an new Iron or equivalent team, even just as a sub if you want. You definitely won't regret it.<cool and good post about competitive TF2>
