Hey everyone! After viewing all workstreams and lurking for a while, I finally decided to make an account on this forum, seeing how everyone is so nice around here and that the NDA lift is coming soon. Really looking forward to the full release.
Had no job and no means of contributing to the Kickstarter at the time, maybe buying it full-price at launch will make up for it:olliesilly:.

About me:
Mexican, 20 yrs old, studying biotechnological engineering in college, I plan to get a PhD eventually; favourite character is Oleander, followed by Velvet and then Pom. Unlike everyone else I know, I prefer hot climates to cold climates, I'm perfectly comfortable at 30°C while everyone in the house is complaining about the heat.

Welcome. Since you're in to teaching, then perhaps you might be interested in checking out the Fightin' Foenetics on Discord. They're a group dedicated to teaching new players how to play fighting games, as well as training with one another.

Hi, Demon0no (or just Demon, if you prefer that) from germany here.
I play a lot of fighting games, but I'm kinda mediocre.
Because of irl issues didn't have time to check out the beta yet. May have to look into installing windows on my laptop again and seeing if it runs tfh.

Also @Ave: Nice, another Holo fan!

Welcome out to our little community! If you're into using Discord, there's a few TFHs servers where many of us here hang out and chat with each other.

OJhat here.
been around for a while. not a forums person, too much time spent elsewhere to really frequent forums not tied to my main social sites. so I don't interact much.
supported Mane 6 before the c&d, but was just as passionate if not moreso upon hearing the shift to an original game.

Graduated animation major, but really still just a digital artist with a love for video games.
Greatly prefer smash bros controls to normal fighting games, was never a fan of the control scheme of all the other fighting games, but TFH simple controls are great for someone like me to start with.

Finally got off my flank and created an account over here. I guess I just lazy thinking there'd be a steam forums eventually lol. Anywho I'm just a little vector artist that has been following this game since it was Fighting is Magic... Hell, I remember when you guys were just starting off and was amazed at the passion and love you put into making this world something special. I should hopefully eventually get my backers beta tester to showcase that I'm playing the game, even though I'm horrible at fighting games I'm still having a solid time... Getting beat left and right lol.

Hoping that later down the line I'll be able to put out some more art work for the game if you guys like any of that. Already have a few pieces with Arizona that I did some time ago and I've been meaning to do a piece featuring the logo and all 6 ( and eventually 7 ) characters for sometime now. Not to mention more work for each indivudual character over time.

Anywho, thanks for your time =]

Ah, that's good to hear. It'll probably be a while before I start anything more at least. But for now I'll use an updated version of my first Arizona vectors as an avatar, with some alterations to the color to the pallet I enjoy using in game as well as a custom background I quickly whipped up.

Not the fastest of artist, but I still want to do more TFH stuff lol.

Joseph, just a high school student with an interest in Lawyer Friendly Equines and Skullgirls which influenced my interest in the game, I typically don't play fighting games but i do play a few, these being Skullgirls (my fav), Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 and Smash. I'll add TFH to my list when it releases, but even then my computer is kinda f***** so I'll be waiting even longer. I regret not adding to the crowdfund but I'll still buy the game when it releases :3

Hola everyone

What can I say ? I'd like to tell that I'm a brony but meh... I don't really like the word. I'm not a great fighting games player, It's been a couple of years that I play super smash bros melee but I don't think I'm a good player though. I'm not very used to 2D fighting game like Street Fight, BlazeBlue, MK, Mavel Vs Capcom,etc... but I'd like to get good on TFH ^^

I also do some digital painting on my spare time :)

P.S. Can someone tell me how to tech in this game ?

It's ya boi W. Been following this game since it was Fighting is Magic, and have never posted on a forum dedicated to it ONCE. Welp, that changes today. I'm the idiot who had a perfectly good $40 to donate for the beta tier but wasted buying my sister Minecraft. Oh well, at least the game is close. I, for one, love the music in this game. Real good stuff.

Hardcore Nintendo gamer who speedruns Mario Galaxy and Super Metroid. Half-decent at fighting games (I think? lmao), and hopefully will be able to contribute to the community more once the game drops. Stay sparky kiddos.

Hello, well I've already posted a few things but I guess I should have introduced myself first.

On here I'm Salty Beef, but on the internet and xbox and steam I'm Mrmomobot.

I love almost all types if games, but mostly gravitate towards FPS's. We use to play Marval Vs Capcom and Soul Caliber at our local (and not so local) laundry-mats. Because of that those are probably the two fighter games closest to my heart... Other than Super Smash Bros anyways.

I heard a little about Fighting is magic, but not enough to learn how to download it.. Lol

Im so glad Mane6 was able to continue making such a fantastic looking fighting game. Looove the music... And the lobby.. Too bad I can't play it yet. :arisilly:

All time favorite video game characters: Samus Aran, Master Chief, Link.

Sorry that was kinda long. Sooooo yeah.. See ya around!

Hello, I like Fighting games (Guilty Gear, Skullgirls, 2D MK, Thrill Kill among my favorites) and things like Cuphead or Neon Drive. I love punk rock, post-punk, goth rock too.

I've been following this game's development since almost the beginning. Even if I'm not in the pony fandom, the early versions of the original fan game caught my attention. You don't see a fighting game with cute critters frequently lol and now the game looks amazing.

See ya!

Hi there, I'm Kittens! I've been following development since Lawyer Friendly Equines days, but I couldn't back it because I was broke during the campaign, and planning to reticify that next week. I love watching fighting games more than I do playing them (no patience to memorize a single combo), but I really like just playing it to see so much effort put into the animations and effects, like in Skullgirls.

Hi! My name is Weasel and I’ve been following TFH on and off for about 3 years. I missed the crowd fund campaign, but I’m really excited to buy the game at launch!

I’m an animation student and I love to draw. I’m a huge fan of Lauren Faust’s work (especially on Foster’s Home). I love watching Lindsay’s work streams. Her textures are so good!

I’ve only really played fighting games casually (blazblue, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, and skullgirls) but I have a lot of fun and I think it would be fun to try and get gud. I’m interested to try Arizona and Oleander.

Hi! My name is Orcool. I've only recently learned about TFH (Although I did hear years ago about FiM but never took to much notice of it because I don't really have much of an interest on Lawyer Friendly Equines) After hearing about the game, like, 2-3 weeks ago I've become obssesed with it & have tried to learn every little thing I could on my own. As I said, I've never really had an interest in the Equine cartoon before this game & I still don't (Nothing against it, just not my cup of tea) But this game hooked me for whatever reason. Be it the designs by Lauren Faust (Paprika FTW!) or the ridiculously fun looking gameplay, I just know I wanna get this game & fail repeatedly at it until eventually I become not as terrible.

I'm planning on getting the game day 1 & practicing my (non-existent) butt off to, as they say in the FGC, Git Gud. Even though.... I've never really figured out how to play Fighting Games properly. The only ones where I'm decent enough are Smash 4 & Rivals of Aether but that is pretty much as far away as could be from this game. So I'm basically coming in as a complete & utter noob to try & finally figure out how to play a Fighting Game & not mash buttons randomly.

As for me, I'm a student on my last semester of School before moving on to College. I plan on studying to eventually be able to make my own game & become a part of the Videogame Industry. That's about as much as I'm comfortable sharing on an online forum about my personal life. I'm usually rather quiet but, since I'm trying new things anyways, I'll try to be active here, on the Discords & on the game once it comes out. Also I get easilly excited some times & write walls of text (Sorry...) Anyways, Thanks for reading & I'll be seeing you online in 3 days!!!

Tl;Dr: I'm an awkward nerd who, for whatever reason got excited about this game & now will play until I'm decent enough to hit somebody once in a while but get so excited that I drop the combo.

Hi! My name's Taliesin, and I'm a french person. I heard about TFH when I was in high school, but after being disapointed about Lawyer Friendly Equines the Movie (that wasn't so good), I decided to be fully part of the TFH community (let's call it TFHerds, shall we? ^^').

Also I'm planning to have the game day 1, and maybe making some streams on Twitch (in french, sorry). But I still play other video games and there's only a few which are fighting games, I mainly play RPG, action-adventure games, rogue-likes, etc...

As for me, I am a computer science student at University, and I want after that being a game designer and programmer (and maybe game commentator, because why not). So stay tuned, I should be online in two days if anything goes well!

Snivian Moon

How I mine for combo?
Backers' Beta Tester
Hello and greetings! I'm Snivian Moon (Usually just Snivi), and I've loved fighting games for years. I cut my teeth on KoF `98 way back in the day, and I've always been a fan of fighting games since then (Usually of the SNK variety) - Though I will admit, I've never been any good at them despite that, and I wouldn't consider myself a part of any FGC.

When TFH went up for crowdfunding, it was a total no-brainer from the first moment. And I've been delighted to see the evolution of the game since then! The character designs continue to impress me to this day. I admit I got a bit busy with life after the initial backer beta was released, so it's only been the last week or so that I've been playing the beta, but I'm still excited for the full release on Thursday. I'm hoping I can learn, improve, and have fun with some good folk along the way. And hang out in pixel lobbies, because pixel lobbies are awesome. I work a lot, but I'm still hoping to get in there and mix it up when I can.

While I doubt I can ever Git Güd, I just hope that I can Have Fun. Hope to see you all out there soon!

Really late to this forum and don't have the game yet.
I don't have Steam, but might get it someday.
Been playing on consoles since Pong, and fighters since Urban Champion & Karate Champ.

Enjoyed Skullgirls the past four years, and have watched TFH playthroughs on YouTube.
Also been listening to some TFH music on YouTube.

Maybe I can try some TFH fanart. Did some of that for SG over the years.
Good to meet you!:puppy:

Hey all,

Long time casual FG player, since the days of the original MK arcade. It wasn’t until last summer I decided to become more involved in the FGC and actually try to become decent.

I’ve had TFH since it’s first day live, but only played it for an hour or so. But just yesterday, I decided to focus more time into it, possibly as my FG of choice (it’s between TFH and GG REV2) until BB:CTB comes out. Me growing weary of DBFZ and a streamer named Qeuw were the primary factors in my decision.

I’m 95% set on playing Oleander, but Arizona and kinda Tian are candidates lurking in my mind. I’d really like to play Velvet, but I’m not a particularly huge fan of her buttons.

Anyway, my gaming time is stretched thin w/ my constant work on my backlog and I’m currently alpha testing a game. But I hope to get in proper lab time so I’m at least not laughable whenever I play someone else! Nice to meet everyone!

Hello, I'm HeartClock, I'm French. I knew the game back when it was still Fighting is Magic but I have never really followed the project because I was not really an FG player. I knew about the C&D and heard that the Mane6 remade the game with new characters and a new universe but I was not that much interested so I eventually forgot about the game until I came upon a YouTube video a few days ago ("Paprika's mating dance", if that's what you were wondering) which made me want to watch more videos about the game and I eventually became a fan of it.

I used to play FG with my brother, mainly BlazBlue and Soulcalibur, but I was just mashing the buttons, hoping to beat my brother by luck (which I did multiple times and I have never known how). I am also a casual Super Smash player but I rarely play that game. TFH is probably the first FG I ever played seriously and it made me want to improve in FG overall.

Before I even started playing the game for the first time, I wanted to be an Arizona/Pom main, but I ended up liking Velvet's fighting style to the point that she's the one who became my main (which is surprising because I don't like her at all).

As for me, I am currently an English-French translator but I do quite a lot of Pixel Art in my free time. I might show some of my pixels here on the forum someday when I'll draw more of TFH stuff. I usually draw other people's characters and rarely mine though, so if anybody here wants a pixel version of their OC, I would be happy to make one for you (perhaps in an art trade if you can draw and are interested).

I am very shy and tend to be anxious all the time when it comes about playing games online or interacting with others because of their judgement and the toxicity that may arise. That's probably the reason why I rarely play online in many video games, including TFH (I fear the Pixel Lobby).

Expect me to check the forum quite often, even if I probably won't be posting much.

Nice to meet you all and I hope I'll be able to play with you someday!

I can understand that. I like to play fighting games but can't stand playing with people I don't know like on, Soul Caliber V, MVC, uhh.. now that I think of it.. pretty much all the fighting games we've owned, unless it was with Xbox friends and stuff (and new friends now :3 ). either way I know that My experience with TFH has been really good, so I hope you enjoy it too! :arismile2:
