How do you change your icon?

I'm not sure, seemingly it just takes a while for the system to accept you. Or maybe you need to make a certain amount of posts first? I've seen stuff like that before.

It would appear you just have to wait for a while and let stuff settle in before you can change your profile pic.

I saw the option to change my avatar for a little while, but by the time I'd finished drawing the picture, the option to choose an avatar disappeared.

I was actually trying to upload an avatar, then it told me I didn't have access. When I went back to that page a few minutes later, the option disappeared. I has a sad.

EDIT: You should probably disregard this post! Apparently the fact that I gained permission to change my avatar and use edits exactly when I enabled two-step verification was sheer coincidence.
There are several reports of users following this procedure and still having permission issues. Furthermore, I disabled my two step verification and still had the ability to change my avatar.
So consider this unsolved...

To everyone having an issue changing your profile picture:
You must enable the two-step account verification using the bottom-right link under your username drop down menu (shown here)

Once you've done that, you'll have proper permission to change your profile picture as well as edit and delete posts.

Just did it, I'll give it a bit but it didn't automatically give me access so far.

It's possible it's still related. I was just able to make mine work--it's just took about 5 minutes after the verification, rather than the expected "instantly".

Or yeah, could still be a coincidence.

Won't let me do that either. Every time I enter the code it sent me, it says "The two-step verification email could not be confirmed. Please try again."
