Finish the DLCs and you won't hate him any more.
Without Daud,Corvo couldn't save Emily.What he saved would just be her body,not soul.

Not a fan to be honest. I don't like being cut off from half my equipment (sword, pistol, etc) in order to get the good ending.
I already know how the DLC goes. Daud saves Emily's soul 'cause he feels bad about offing her mom. Boo hoo... Somethings are just unforgivable...
