Hearthstone: Whispers of the old gods.

While I don't play Hearthstone personally, I enjoy watching it and seeing the meta shift and I love the look and story of this expansion. Everyone calls it hentai but I appreciate the Lovecraft inspiration, especially for someone like me who has been playing a lot of Bloodborne recently.
Considering the few cards that have been announced, I'm really excited seeing C'Thun in action and the passive buffing it receives in the background from some cards triggering it, especially if it combos with Bran. Even the cards that buff it have good stats I think for their mana cost. I also like the new Doomsayer, though I'm not really sure if its actually good or not in actual gameplay. It looks like Priest benefits a lot from these new cards so that's interesting.
All in all, looking great in my opinion. Than again, I don't actually play the game so I might be speaking nonsense for all I know. lol

Not so sure about C'thun, even with its cultist companion cards. Looks like a glorified Avenging Wrath to me, although it could wreck face when combined with Brann. I'll see if other old gods are viable.

theres going to be a whopping 16 cards that interact specifically with C'thun in some way so they are clearly trying to push a deck archtype with it. I can see it working out alright but its too early to tell. I think its likely that each class is going to have 1 C'thun card and the rest will be neutrals.
Anyways, the card is slow, but its very good. Anyone whos had to play against Flamewaker spell spam knows how powerful that kind of effect can be. The difference here is you dont have to play all your combo pieces all in the same turn. You can stagger it out all game. All you need to do is just get to turn 10, and with the standard format the game will almost definitely slow down, because thats the type of gameplay blizzard wants to push right now.

So now that the expansion has been released, now's a good time to revive this thread, because this isn't explicitly about theorycrafting, so surely this is an exception to the necroposting rule, right? ...right? Please don't sue me...
Anyway, Got my free thirteen packs, third one I opened had a golden legendary. Deathwing, Dragonlord in fact. However, I disenchanted that card so I can craft the clearly superior card.

So far, my Overload Shaman deck (Named "Power Overwhelming") Has been doing well so far. WE'll have to see what rank it will get me to in the next 3 days.
