Hi guys, and welcome to the Official Them's Fightin' Herds forums. If you're a crowdfund backer, we'd also like to welcome you to the Backers-only sections.
The place is a bit bare right now, but we'll be expanding the sections as the game development goes along, and also based on your suggestions.
Please be mindful to follow the forum rules, and remember that posting access to the forum is a privilege which can and will be revoked by severe and/or repeated rule breaking, regardless of whatever amount you pledged to the crowdfund.
Rules are simple.
1. Keep it civil.
2. Keep it clean.
3. Keep it on topic.
4. Keep it legible.
5. Keep it Legal.
6. The catch all.
- Be respectful towards forum members, moderators and staff members.
- Do not engage in personal attacks against your fellow forum users, moderators and staff members.
- Do not discriminate. The usual suspects are covered in here. Harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable comments. The banhammer will swing hard and absolutely for this.
- Being as volatile topics as they're, and having an increased chance of devolving into flamebaits and trolling from all sides than, say, a debate on the merits of coconuts as paperweights, topics regarding politics and/or religion should be kept out of the forum at all times.
- Please avoid backseat moderating. If you see any post breaking the forums' rules, the appropriate response is not to engage, and to report it to the moderators.
- Please don't impersonate the Mane6 Developers, staff, forum moderators, your fellow forum members, celebrities, extradimensional eldritch horrors from outer space, your parents or legal guardians, your cat or anybody else.
- Fictional character impersonation is otherwise known as roleplaying, and should be kept to the RP threads.
2. Keep it clean.
- Avatars of an explicit nature, which includes, but is not limited to nudity, pornography, excessive violence and gore, whether drawn or photographic will result in an immediate forum suspension. Repeated and/or severe offenses will result in a permanent ban.
- The TFH forums are strictly family friendly, so please keep your threads and posts within that general rating. Nudity, pornography, excessive violence and gore, whether drawn or photographic will result in an immediate forum suspension. Repeated and/or severe offenses will result in a permanent ban. This includes cropped and/or censored images, and references of where to find them.
3. Keep it on topic.
- Read the forums before asking a question! - There is a chance that your question has already been answered
- Use the search function before posting. It'll keep duplicate threads to a minimum
- Avoid duplicate-topic threads. If there's already a thread discussing the topic you'd like to talk about, please use that instead!
- Do not necropost. This one will not really be an issue during the first weeks of the forums' life, but adding it anyways. If a thread has not seen any new posts during a significant amount of time, chances are the information in it is outdated and you'd be better off posting a new topic instead.
- Please keep the Faction Roleplay to the appropriate threads in the Fan Creations forum only.
4. Keep it legible.
- The forums' official language is English. Please post and respond in that language only, as it'll make it easier for our staff to moderate the forums.
- Use a spellchecker, please!
- Do not post in all capital letters; do not use "leetspeek," excessive punctuation, different sized and/or colored text, alternating lower case and capital letters, etc.
- Do not Spam. This includes thread bumping or making meaningless content posts (e.g. "+1", "bump", emoticon-only posts, "lol", etc.)
- Do not derail threads. If a tangential topic comes up, please create a new topic for it.
5. Keep it Legal.
- No links to spyware/adware/virus/spam. Common sense, people.
- No warez/filez/illicit content.
- The direct posting or the making of references to leaked and/or modified builds of Fighting is Magic is strictly forbidden. Banhammers WILL swing swiftly and irrevocably for this one.
- Do not post about or make any reference to topics that involve the use of illegal drugs or performing illegal activities.
- No advertising of any kind of commercial product and/or service is allowed in the forums. If you're an independent developer and would like to promote your crowdfund in here, PM the administrators and we'll review it in a case-by-case basis.
6. The catch all.
- Mane6, the administrators and the moderators reserve the right to, at any time, determine if anything violates Mane6's community standards, and to take any disciplinary action they deem necessary. Lack of rules and ambiguities will be addressed at the discretion of Mane6 and our administrators and/or moderators. If you see anything on the forums which you believe is inappropriate, violates the community standards or breaks a rule, please report the post to the moderation team.
