That's not how you spell "Dreamcast"!Discuss anything related the the best console of all time here.
I have most of the big games on GameCube and almost 100 games in total, I love collecting GameCube games.I still have my gamecube. The reset button is jammed though, so it's a pain to have to always restart a game if something goes wrong.
As for games, I never had a really big library (as a kid, I wasn't much for collecting games, I just played what I had to the extreme), but I do have a few noteworthy games, such as Smash Broes Melee, Pokemon Colosseum, Super Mario Strikers, and even Mario Baseball. I don't have any of the heavy hitters like Wind Waker or Super Mario Sunshine though.
To this day I think about taking it out to play again here and there, but haven't really done so cause then it'd be a hassle to switch consoles back and forth (barely have any room under my TV)
I wouldn't say my GameCube is in perfect condition, but it's pretty good.MY GC is still functional and in perfect condition (Being a collector and all)
Loved playing Mario Kart double dash (Some times still do) and Smash on it however there were some great games on it.
Buh this game dissapointed me so much, the total lack of a story and the fact that it's actively a pain to play single player kinda killed it to me (not to mention to play multiplayer you needed a bunch of GBA link cables made playing co-op harder - it was like Zelda: Four Swords, you were lucky if you had enough friends to be able to play it properly).FF Crystal Cronicals
Aw man! I forgot Double Dash! That game is amazing! And it's even friendly for those who don't play video games (assuming they're your gunner )Aww yes!! Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Custom Robo, Tales of Symphonia, many others; the Gamecube was my favorite system for several years, even after we got a PS3!
I was glad the Wii could play Gamecube games :0... Hopefully we'll see a couple on the eShop on the next Nintendo console..
I'll agree with you on the criticisms of the game. As it was, I was at an age/mental state where the story of games were either incomprehensible, or unimportant to me. So I was left with the game play, which, at that time, I thoroughly enjoyed. I doubt that I would like it as much today as I did then, but that was a different age.Buh this game dissapointed me so much, the total lack of a story and the fact that it's actively a pain to play single player kinda killed it to me (not to mention to play multiplayer you needed a bunch of GBA link cables made playing co-op harder - it was like Zelda: Four Swords, you were lucky if you had enough friends to be able to play it properly).
The Gamecube had a comparatively smaller library than it's competitor the PS2 but it had so many good games that it seemed like a lot of people missed - Custom Robo being the first that comes to mind, I hardly hear anything about it. I think the series was really big in Japan and it was like the 3rd or 4th game they released but was the only one released outside, idk why it was a really fun game =X
Same, even when I got newer consoles I kept coming back to the GameCubeAww yes!! Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mario Kart: Double Dash, Custom Robo, Tales of Symphonia, many others; the Gamecube was my favorite system for several years, even after we got a PS3!

Well thing is I am a collector so I can be very obssesive about my stuff, i make sure there are no dents, marks, scratches etc on my consoles, and on some cases when I know they are prone to scratching (Shiny coated PS3 im looking at you...) i end up buying 2, one for play, and one for collection purposes.I wouldn't say my GameCube is in perfect condition, but it's pretty good.
I bought a PS1 about a year ago for collection purposes, since I can just use my PS2 for PS1 games. It;s the slim model although I would love to have the fat model tooWell thing is I am a collector so I can be very obssesive about my stuff, i make sure there are no dents, marks, scratches etc on my consoles, and on some cases when I know they are prone to scratching (Shiny coated PS3 im looking at you...) i end up buying 2, one for play, and one for collection purposes.
