Game crashing on startup

• Location of Bug: When attempting to start game, regardless of method (Steam, Exe)

• Description: Window without visuals (transparent) appears for a moment, changes size to fill most of the screen, then goes away again.

Have you tried verifying your files through Steam? Sometimes one or two files fail to verify and it brings the whole thing down with it.
To get to that option, you right-click the game in your library, select "properties", go to the "local files" tab on the window that pops up, and the hit "verify integrity of game files". If there are any files that fail to verify, it'll automatically fetch the files that failed to be verified.
Apologies if you've already tried that, though.
