This forum game is like an exercise in world-building. A simplistic form of fanfiction.

Rules:
Questions and Answers must pertain to Them Fighting Herds.
The same player can't answer their own question.
For flow purposes, please keep answers around 1-4 sentences long.
The fun part is head canon can be used as reference! Small flourishes welcome.

How to play:

1. Person A asks a question.
2. Person B answers Person A's question.
3. In the same post, Person B asks a question.
4. Person C answers Person B's question.
5. In the same post, Person C asks a question.
6. ...and so on and so forth.

Lore References:
The Book of Lore Volume I – Prologue – Them's Fightin' Herds – Mane6
Please try using the terminology found in these pages for that sense of authenticity.

Example:
Person A:
How does Oleander obtain income to buy things despite her cursed appearance?
Person B: From tips. She and Fred show up in villages and cities as a ventriloquist act... with Fred as the dummy.

Then Person B makes a question for the next player.

Let's start, shall we?

In Velvet's hometown, what's the Deerfolk's favorite pastime?

Depends on your interpretation of 'Demon'.

Does Pom have an affinity with any other animals?

I'm considering tossing this into Off Topic since you have even labelled it as a forum game in the first place, but as the content does concern the game's lore, I'll keep it here for the time being.

As soon as it strays even slightly off course, into the dungeon it goes.

Aye aye, captain.

No. Cause it would be too close a resemblance to another character.

Has Paprika actually killed someone with her love?
Not directly at least. On an instinctual level, Paprika hugs folks within an inch of their life... and then goes for 2 more centimeters before letting go.

Not really, the way the can distinguish themselves is by how much fire is on their mane, some have little flames, others have longer flames.

are there deerfolk that don't have ice sprites following them?

That depends on whether they want them to. In the Book of Lore, chapter two, it says "the robust yet graceful animals have been revered and pampered by magical, elf-like creatures called Ice Sprites". Gods make their own decisions, and the subjects will probably follow.

How did longmas, the most improbable mix of dragon and horse, come into reality?

Aw man, I totally laughed at that joke too. ...Ah well, the move takes off some of the pressure for creativity.

How much meat can the Devourer actually Devour.
Information regarding predators became lost to the Age of Prophet's Antiquity (APA) when the calendar system was shifted to the Cowmon Era (CE). Luckily, it just so happened that scholars translated runes from an old stone wall that had existed before APA! Relevant info below:

It swallowed the sun
'fore it gorged on the seas.

Gnashed mountains to dust
to consume the valleys.

No crumb left o' tomorrow,
yet it wails
its belly is not full still...

TL;DR, do not treat the Devourer to yakitori. The debt will be crippling.

Who taught Arizona those sick lasso rope tricks?
It was never a skill she intentionally cultivated, her small stature just made it a necessity whenever she was tasked with getting something from the top shelves of the storage building.

Do the citizens of BAAA mimic real New Zealanders and all think that everyone except their own township are a bit thick and/or all make the same semi sheepist jokes but with the names changing from town to town?

Thread moved to off topic. You could have had a fantastic discussion about lore with actual cool interpretations, but instead jokes happened.

OT: To be honest, I don't really seem the sheep having much in the way of rivalries - they're all far too laid back to have any kind of competition.

Canonly, who are the weakest and strongest fighters (including Dogs for Pom)?

One would assume that the sheep would be at the bottom, and the Longma at the top. That said, we don't know how good/bad the Unicorns are, nor a solid gauge of how the Alpaka would do. So, perhaps things are not quite what they seem.

Which raises an interesting question: assuming the champions are roughly equal in power, would that mean the various nations would be roughly the same power as well?

I'd like to think a power struggle amongst the leaf eaters never happened before, at least on a large scale.
With every nation being self-sufficient and equal, there was no need to feel threatened, envious, or fearful of their neighbors, hence why Fœnum has so much prosperity. It wasn't just one nation making everything better, but all of them working together.

What's more fashionable in Fœnum right now, Alpakean fleece or Sheeplese (Sheeplean. Sh-Sheeplesian?) wool?

I'd suspect that the former would be for the elite and the latter the common animal, as the former would be loath to surrender their wool, and the latter could presumably be easily persuaded to do so.

In speaking of which, what would the major imports/exports of the Sheeple be?

For Sheeple, their #1 export is their wool, but the climate of their land also allows them to grown an abundance of crops. The various windmills strewn across their landscape are used to process cereals and Baaaa Braaand flour, making it their #2 export. The #3 export... dog pictures. In every house, no matter what nation, there's at least one shepherd dog in funny hat portrait somewhere.

As for imports, a large amount of products that sell come from the Tundra. Brushes, shampoos, conditioners, oils, you name it, anything that keeps that alactritous and bouncy floof on a Reindeer is also helpful in maintaining a Sheep's wool and a dog's fur coat. There's just something about that exotic pine smell they have that the shepherd dogs adore. Some of the windmills are also made from timber that came from the Tundra.

What's the most complex recipe in an Alpakean cookbook?
