I just hope the devs of @ManeSix have had fun on their journey. I can't fathom the tribulations you've been through since the C+D, yet you stuck to it through it where most would have sat there, cried and given up. You've really made something special, and the hype for this game along with Mario Odyssey has made this one of my best quarters in gaming since 2008 when I first got my Wii and Super Mario Galaxy. Thank you so much for everything, and good luck on the final stretch.

Yeah, I only made the joke because there's never been a gap this large. Anu posted some stuff he was working on in his own thread, but that was over a week ago now.

Seriously guys, relax. Even if the game doesn't release in December due to some cruel trick of the Foenum Gods, it's not like the project will shrivel and disappear into The Hold. I want this game in my hooves as much as the next guy, but we've waited this long, we can do it again. Well, I don't know about "again"... I will die inside if I have to wait another whole year. Heck, even waiting a few extra months would pain my soul, but at least we'd be getting it some time.
Besides, a statement at the start of the month wouldn't be Mane6's style. They usually wait until the last moment for that kind of thing, it seems.

There may or may not have been a little bit for Beta holders, but nothing public just yet. Something is brewing, though. Something delicious.

I'm taking your word for it. I'm fine, don't worry. We can wait. After all, you guys paid for it, you deserve what you invested into this game. I just like joking about stuff with memes, it's a good way to pass time.

At this point, even a "be quiet and wait patiently, we are working on it" would feel like an actual announcement, it's been a while since we got actual news, especially true for those without beta access.
Luckily this forum is so damn fun. I love meeting people in gaming communities, even games I don't have access to.
Now that is something I'll readily agree with. I would feel most privileged if Mane6 would open the Beta forums for all. We get news from the backers and can see the changes in streams; we might as well be able to see it on the forums. We shouldn't be allowed to post there though. Our terrible memes must be safely quarantined. Besides, since we don't have the beta, we wouldn't know what we're talking about.

Well, judging by some updates that beta (the guy, not the software) is showing off and some of the comments he made in the beta forums, we're doing pretty OK. I think they really are just knuckling down at the moment at the expense of some communication.
That's actually in the backers section and not just the beta part, but yeah, what you said.
This is the kind of thing I'm talking about. Those of us without access to the backer section don't know what's going on.
But if they explicitly stated in the original tier rewards that the beta section would be open only to donors of a certain level, then I respect that.
Well, I'll go ahead and talk about what's been posted in the backers' forum. And I have to say, the way they painted that private jet to look like Tianhuo in preparation for their escape to a private island with the rest of the crowdfunding money is really impressive.
In all seriousness, I'm not worried. Both from what I've seen in other forums and from the fact that overly optimistic deadlines have been par for the course. This isn't a knock on Mane6, because I sure as shootin' couldn't do any better, but it turns out that it takes a lot of time and effort to create a cool-looking video game, especially with a tiny staff. And it's clear that these folks are determined to make a really cool video game. I'm fine with them taking the time to make sure they get it right.
