I made my account pretty late into the forums' lifespan and never really did anything with it, since I am a gross smelly Mac user so there's no Beta for me. THAT BEING SAID oh nooo, I'm using my Indiegogo E-mail and I'm not flagged as a backer, here.

Thought I sorted this out in Feb of last year, not sure what happened but I'm not seeing the beta tester flair or anything. I'm not even seeing the backer flair at all, which I know I had before. Double checked and my email is my indiegogo email as well if you want to verify =].

Most likely. Indiegogo delivers an xml database, and then our system looks for matches to forum accounts in that xml database. If there's no exact match, it skips it. When you're dealing with information such as e-mails (in this case) or user-input personal information (such as shipping addresses or the like), you really don't want to mess with the results you get to crop out (or add in) aliases. That's an easy way into upgrading false positives and wrong accounts.

So, I waited 24 hours after making an account, but the system appears not to have recognized me. I backed on the Spirit of the Plains tier, and I'm pretty sure I made this account with the same email.

Hi I recived the 19 april Email & saw a link that took me here. So I figured i check if my account had the backer banner or not (Registered in February) & I lack my backer banner & want to see the problem fixed.

You need to PM us with your original IGG-bound e-mail and that screenshot there, then we can sort you out

I don't see the flair for $40 tier. Can you fix, please? I originally signed up to a lower tier, upgraded before the cutoff. Hopefully that won't be a problem.

My email address for the forum is the same as I used for IGG.

The email i originally signed up with (and also used for indiegogo) got hacked and i have no access to it. gladly it hasn't affected my ability to sign onto here (though i forgot my password to IGG so that's an issue). Well, that's a slight issue. Normally, we'd ask you to PM us with a screencap of your pledge and we'd get you switched, but since you can't access IGG, you will need to handle the issue with them first, then come back to us, and PM us with said screencap, then we'll get you sorted.

Why do we need you to handle that first?; Account security. If we just swapped e-mails without it, it'd be easier for an unrelated person to hijack your forum account and request a swap, thereby locking legit owners out of the forums and (potentially) the backerkit rewards as well. True, someone could still have gotten into both places, but at that point, there wouldn't be much we could do to distinguish between a backer and a non-backer.

For the same security reasons, we're going to be temporarily downgrading your account to a regular user. Once you've got the IGG pledge screencap and have resorted your situation there, we'll reupgrade you. Note that if you've got your prior e-mail attached to your backerkit survey, we'll need to swap that out as well.

We do not have your e-mail on file, it seems. We'll need you to PM us with a screencap of your pledge and whichever e-mail you used for the indiegogo campaign to be able to upgrade your account.

I don't have the beta tester flair. Like with the backer flair, it's probably because my IGG email at the time of backing was different from what I use now.

I am among this group, though I created the account with a different email than the one on indiegogo. I did however change the email afterward, the current one this account is associated with is also the one of my indiegogo.

Same here, took me a few days to remember that I used a different email for indiegogo. They are the same now.
