Made this so we could continue discussing possible grappler Ungulates as well as other fighter archetypes that could go with more Ungulates.
It's only 26 minutes past midnight and you've already made my dayI'm still thinking Moose for a grappler.
I mean, look at the hands on this moose! It could totally grab somebody!
Lol, this needs to happen. As some people have said before, it'd be really interesting to have one of the aquatic ungulates in the game (yeah, whales, porpoises and narwhals are classified as ungulates. Biology is confusing sometimes).
I'd love to have a narwhal at some point, because let's face it, a narwhal in Lauren Faust's artstyle would be buckin' adorable, and it could have some really fun slippery fencing style gameplay. But I doubt they'd add something crazy like that. Not only do whales and such look nothing like ungulates, they also don't exactly eat grass, so they might look a bit out of place in a world literally named after grass.
I love those kinds of fighters. Seriously, they are so fun to use. I really hope they incorporate one.
Game needs Dik Diks! Maybe something like small hit box but low health, fragile speedster type.
I would also love to see a hippo in game.
Oh dear god, this needs to happenWhat about a hippo, oxpecker, baby narwhal team character? The bird would be on its backs ori head and the baby narwhal in its mouth with water.
Yeah a rhino tank would be pretty cool. Can't make it have too much hp and completely armored though, otherwise it'd be crazy to fight.Honestly? I just want to play Huggles (bear NPC) with a full kit. I love big slow characters with armored attacks that hit like trucks. Ari is best girl, and that will never change, but something along those lines would definitely become a quick second for me. The idea of a Ram, or an Ox comes to mind, but those are literally just male sheep and cow by other names.
Now that I think about it, a Rhino would fit this archetype perfectly. I request a rhino with a completed Huggles Kit.
Completely armored is jank, and I've experienced that first hand with the way monster Hunter works in MvCI, and it was one of my major complaints. I just want something more like Huggles that can take a hit before being knocked out of a few attacks.Yeah a rhino tank would be pretty cool. Can't make it have too much hp and completely armored though, otherwise it'd be crazy to fight.
Velvet would have a field day with this one
I think it might be a bit out there and might not fit in with the TFH world but a Mouse Deer (pictured above) piloting an Elephant Mech for the grappler. The mech could be ancient/lost technology (With the design being preferably Indian or SE Asian inspired due to being the Mouse Deer's native range) and is slightly larger than Paprika. The Elephant trunk can act as her heavy normals, grab method for both normal throws and command throws, and as vacuum, either for sucking in fighters for throws (Think Hisako's command grab in KI2013) and/or absorbing projectiles and specials (think Spinal's Power Devour also from KI2013) of her foes to collect magic and by spending magic can deflect projectiles with a burst of wind or an discharge upclose blast of dust.
I could see a Camel being a mid speed heavy character.Camel/Hippogriff: Wild Cards
Is that a thing? Also, aren't horses afraid of camels?
Horses are easily spooked. By pretty much anything. They don't even need a reason, really. Is that a thing?
This is a very good idea. I love it to heck.Maybe TFH could raise awareness of endangered animals, like the saiga antelope, animals benefit from people knowing about their status and hopefully sending help to NPOs that protect endangered species, M6 gets a better public image and free publicity, everyone wins.
Whoa... TOTALLY original idea. What about a pack mule that uses items to attack? I'd love to see something like that in the game.
But seriously though, would be cool if he got in.Whoa... TOTALLY original idea.
Ooo! Ooo! I know! We should call it... uh... Knick Knack!
Knick Knack confirmed for Smash 5.But seriously though, would be cool if he got in.
What about a realistic horse that only did stuff actual horses could do as a joke character?
Small hitbox, low health and fragile you say?
Game needs Dik Diks! Maybe something like small hit box but low health, fragile speedster type.

Knick Knack confirmed for Smash 5.
Horse confirmed for grazing.
While I like the look of the spideer, I don't think spiders count as Ungulates. Have they said that they were going to add non-ungulate characters? I think I read before that they want to add the predators as playable down the road, but I forget where, so it could have been speculative.Springbok.
And, imma say it again, we should have a Spider for the grappler. Webs, venom, 8 legs cmooon
I think we all might be assuming that only ungulate animals will be playable >.>While I like the look of the spideer, I don't think spiders count as Ungulates. They'll still probably all be 4-legged, or no legs in the snake's case, if predators become playable.I think we all might be assuming that only ungulate animals will be playable >.>
According to Wikipedia, ungulates have the following characteristics:While I like the look of the spideer, I don't think spiders count as Ungulates. Welp, if that's the case or not, I just thought of an idea (the Hippogriff wasn't originally mine o3o)! What if there was a character like Q-Bee from Darkstalkers? Where it's an insect in the guise of an ungulate instead of a human. They'll still probably all be 4-legged, or no legs in the snake's case, if predators become playable.
