Have you spent much time playing other characters? Taking the time to learn Tianhuo herself may help you get a firmer grasp on both her strengths and weaknesses. Even if you choose to focus on one character, it is important to know how a character plays the game from their perspective. If you...
I don't think that it's reasonable to have an attack, which is fundamentally a movement, to be a "conceptual" overhead, rather than an action that is visually identifiable as such.
Ideally, the final hit of Pap's free t-shirt would have a new animation or at least some kind of arcing movement line effect to visually indicate an overhead.
I think that having a !!/!? mix-up indicator is a good idea, but in Pap's specific case the animation is working against any intuitive...
I mean sure I could do that and it has a somewhat old school charm to it, but having to do combos to access what is basically a menu option is not exactly what you'd call user-friendly, y'know?
It doesn't have to be complicated. It could be as simple as the game remembering what palette you...
It would be nice if I could set a preferred palette for characters so that I don't have to spend time at the beginning of each match finding my favourite ones. I wanna look good, but I also don't want to make my opponent wait for me while I'm busy making myself pretty.
Are there plans to add animations to the background characters? I really want to see those sad wet llamas heave great big sighs in the rain while they chew their grass.
I just found out that you don't have to have a pure "back" input to charge. You can hold down-back during a crouching combo and it will still count as a charge.
I had the exact same problem with Paprika's beginner combos that involve charge attacks (I started a nearly identical thread over in General). The intuitive thing for beginners is to start charging during the retreat frames of the previous attack animation, and not to start charging during...
Considering it is absolutely necessary to learn this skill in order to perform one of the most basic combos in the game, I'd be darn disappointed if it didn't make its way into the tutorial that teaches the combo.
*Edited for language. Even "damn" feels too strong for this forum!
Okay! That works. Thank you!
That's something that I hope gets tutorialized way more in the final version, perhaps with some sort of visual/auditory cue for the player that indicates that the charge is available to be used so that one can get a sense for the timing. It never occurred to me to...
I think a donkey would make an excellent grappler, assuming the goat isn't already lined up to be the grappler (which would clearly be better).
I don't know if it makes sense with the mechanics of the game, since there's a lot of emphasis on speed, but I've historically enjoyed having some...
An easy alternative symbol might be two bull deer with locked antlers, or two mountain goats head-butting. Could even have a cute animation of the heads butting with a little flash or something.
Newbie to fighting games in general here, so I'm starting off and struggling with some basic things here that just may not be a problem for others.
I'm having a lot of difficulty getting any of Paprika's combos which involve a charge attack somersault to chain together. Before the update I had...
