The exponential function of music variations

It recently struck me that if every new character were to receive their own stage, they would have to come with music for that stage (including variations for every existing character plus themselves), and variations for every existing stage.

To my knowledge, each stage has a static version, an idle version and a final round version. In addition to those, it has a regular and a final round version for each character. Here's a function that expresses the amount of stage variations (v) for a given amount of playable characters (c):
v = c (3+2c)

Now when Goat (and any other potential future character) is added, the amount of new stage variations (including variations for a new stage) could be calculated like this:
Δv = c (3+2c) - ((c-1) (3+2(c-1)))

I've plotted v and Δv here:

According to this graph, there are currently 90 music variations, and when Goat gets added, it will bring 29 new variations. Each subsequent character will have to add 4 more variations than the previous character did.

So let's say at some point in the future TFH has 12 characters, each with their own stages, then there would have to be at least 324 different music variations.
I hope Stuart and Whitetail don't get burned out if they ever have to make so much music. :ollie=O:

According to this graph, there are currently 65 music variations, and when Goat gets added, it will bring 25 new variations. Each subsequent character will have to add 4 more variations than the previous character did.

Yeah... this is why they're starting off with six characters. Haters of this game complain about this, but my guy you just made decisive evidence

Well I mean if they're getting paid for it, I'm sure they won't mind all that much? I hope. :eek:

And I'm sure they have some tricks to speed up the process a little bit, given that every character has their standard set of instrumentals they're adding to a track.

If I recall the goat's music and stage we're part of the stretch goals but separate from the goat itself, so it could be possible that future characters won't get stages but could still get dynamic music variants.

They'd probably get a stage. What I'm guessing is they won't get a Story in the Story Mode.

I suppose it depends on how they decide to fund new characters. If they do another indiegogo, like Skullgirls did for more characters, music, stage and story could be a stretchgoal. (And if they do that and have another backer character perk I am so there, they are so cool!)

Yeah. I realized this too. Plus there the little jingles. Each character's intro dialogue jingle (which might change based on if you're P1 or P2 I'm not really sure) the round win jingles (which might change based on when in the song the round ends also not sure) and the match end jingles (which could also change based on when the match ends, ask me if I'm sure).
